Gabriel Holzapfel
Gabriel Holzapfel (Lele), es artista visual y músico (Puerto Montt, 1988). Actualmente vive y trabaja en Valparaíso, Chile.
Su trabajo se caracteriza por el cruce entre formatos y por la utilización de materiales residuales y objetos cotidianos.
Se trata de un esfuerzo por ampliar el significado de las cosas y crear nuevos espacios de pensamiento en torno a conceptos como Desaparición, Entropía, Memoria o aquello que se desprende de la historia reciente y la actividad humana.
Su obra está atravesada por un agudo uso del lenguaje y mantiene un fuerte vínculo poético con perspectiva crítica, marcado por el humor y la ironía.
Holzapfel mantiene un interés personal volcado a construir alegorías visuales, generar interrogantes, sembrar dudas, dobles o triples lecturas.
Gabriel Holzapfel, (Puerto Montt, 1988) is a visual artist and musician. He currently lives and works in Valparaiso, Chile.
His work is characterised by the crossing of formats and by the use of residual materials and objects. It is an effort to broaden the meaning of things and create new spaces of thought around concepts such as Disappearance, Entropy, Memory or that which is derived from recent history and human activity.
His work is permeated by an acute use of language and maintains a strong poetic bond with a critical perspective, marked by humour and irony. Holzapfel maintains a personal interest in constructing visual allegories, generating questions, sowing doubts, double or triple readings.
